BACHELOR OF LANGUAGE
(HONS) IN ARABIC LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE
Prepare students to become in-depth
seekers of knowledge in comprehending and teaching
Arabic language.
Develop the student’s language skills as well as literary texts to enable them in
understanding sources of Islamic and Arabic Language.
Development of graduates’ communicative and cultural language skills and abilities.
Equip the learners with the ability to recognise the beauty of the language and to
have a
taste for creative literary production.
Passed Malaysian High School Certificate (STPM)
with at least Grade C in 2 subjects; OR
Passed Malaysian Higher Certificate of Religion
(STAM) at least Jayyid level; OR
Passed Foundation/ Matriculation/ A Level/
Diploma in the relevant field which
Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by
the Government of Malaysia; AND
Credit in Arabic Language subject in Malaysian
School Certificate (SPM) or equivalent.
For international students, International
English Language Testing System (IELTS) score
of 5.0 or a Band 3 in the Malaysian University
English Test (MUET) or its equivalent
ARABIC LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Candidates who wish to enter a programme which medium of instruction is Arabic Language,
must pass MEDIU’s Arabic Placement Test (MAPT) or equivalent. Exemptions will be granted
subject to the University Senate’s approval based on its situations
